I think I'm going to be able to do this!
Moving forward is a good thing. If you don't move, you become stagnant. If you become stagnant, you smell. (I'm going with a creek bed analogy here...stay with me). "It Is What It Is" helps us to keep our sanity as we try new things, but at the same time we should never settle for "what it is". We should constantly reflect and learn to move our teaching and our student's learning to higher levels so the classroom doesn't turn stale.

Conference Call Wake-Up
Today was our conference call with our data collector, Renee. Wow! She is going to be gathering a LOT of data...every 15 seconds. I had to ask what she would be looking for in her observations and one of the items was the teacher's interactions with technology. This conversation made me aware of the technology that I used in my class today. I was surprised at how much technology I already had incorporated into my lesson without even thinking about it (really)...a powerpoint of Pike's Fish Market and the video of the Fish! Philosophy.
