First Day

No technology use today, but we started to set the scene for what is to come. I introduced the concept of the TRC grant and gave a little teaser of all the new equipment we have to work with. Talked about the learning that I will be doing in the workshops and how this will transfer to the students for their tech projects.

Students reactions:

~ Some students expressed excitement for the opportunity of working with more technology.

~ Some wondered how we could put technology into a math class?

~ Some were a little worried because they didn't feel adequate in their technology understanding.

I assured them that all of these feelings and wonderings were exactly what I was experiencing as well and that by working together, we would all learn a lot this year!
