Here are several examples of the public service announcements that students made. Not all the examples shown followed the rubric...however, as the project progressed I did informally assess that all math objectives were completed.
Today was a crazy day as it was deadline day! PSAs had to be done by the end of class. It was a good lesson in real life timelines!
Again, I learned several things today for future projects.
1) It is possible to save the slides in a powerpoint as jpegs to use in iMovies. You just need to go to Save As, File Format, choose JPEG, and all slides will be places in a folder as individual pictures!
2) iMovies can be exported as Quicktime Movies.
3) The old iMovie format seems a little easier to manuever in than the new version.
Moving forward is a good thing. If you don't move, you become stagnant. If you become stagnant, you smell. (I'm going with a creek bed analogy here...stay with me). "It Is What It Is" helps us to keep our sanity as we try new things, but at the same time we should never settle for "what it is". We should constantly reflect and learn to move our teaching and our student's learning to higher levels so the classroom doesn't turn stale.
