The Beaker's Full

Too much! Too much! With the Awareness Day math project in full swing, the Real Number System project waiting in the wings, technology questions/organization/planning, scholars bowl tryouts, and Awareness Day on Friday, my beaker is full and running over. So, before it makes too much of a mess, I'm going to quickly jot down the new ideas that I've learned today so that someday when there's a little room in the beaker, I can work on something new.

1. Empowered Desktop/Kan-Ed: I learned how to add a class and add students.
Next steps:
Input ALL classes
Get student usernames and passwords
Use 6th hour as my guinea pig class to save assignments on this site
2. LCD monitor can be hooked to my laptop for extended screen space. Use something called mirror screens.
Next step:
Organize desk to accomodate LCD screen.
Talk to Mike to help me set this up.
3. iPad Touch: Got the iPad, cover, case, dongle, dock, and picture connection device. iCal, iTunes, iMovies, etc will sync from my laptop to the iPad
Next step:
Sync to one of my computers (yes I got the silver one back)
Play around with the applications
4. Got my silver laptop back.
Next step:
Install wireless printer at home
Download Picassa (if not there already)
Check to see if CPS data is on there
Check address book and iPhotos
Update document files
Update iPhotos
Update iCal (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
Update bookmarks
Type in new parent email addresses (this may already have been done)
Type in CPS class names
5. Set up speakers: See if speakers can be mounted under my black desk or up by ceiling.
6. Move overhead projector (to the library???)
