An "Average" Ad - Day Four - Moving Along Smoothly

We had to focus on the central tendencies a little more today. After a skill reinforcer yesterday, I realized we had some misunderstandings with finding the median (when two numbers were in the middle) and the mean. Students were instructed to use a math glossary to answer their questions on how to find the items they missed yesterday.

We followed up with an open-ended question where students had to find the data set given a set of parameters (range, sample size, median, and mode)...see Handouts tab.

The rest of the class was used for finalizing details for their presentation tomorrow. I was amazed at how quickly they got their materials and got to work. For the most part, minus one group, everyone has an ad to present tomorrow in class.
